Fiji 2003
Namotu and Beqa (Marlin Bay) - two pages of diving - one, two.
|
| We had a fantastic trip to Fiji at the end of April. We spent one week on Namotu, a surf island, and Beqa, a dive location.
Namotu has two surf breaks that belong to the island and a water taxi service to bring you right out to the break (it is a little far to swim out to the breaks from the island). The island is pretty small and you can walk around it in five minutes. The guys surfed every day while we were there. The snorkeling was also excellent.
Beqa is a larger island with several villages and a resort on it. The resort is mostly geared for diving, but you can get a boat to take you out to a reef break (an hour out) to surf. The diving was fantastic and we took lots of pictures (the underwater images are stills taken off of digital video).

| So how do you work out the kinks from days of surfing? You call Aggie. She'll whip you back into shape in no time. |
