Because of all of the water here there is a significant increase in the number of birds that we are seeing.

The camp is on an island surrounded by reeds and grasses.

Above, Kay uses a spot light to find animals that might be active at night. Donna and Scott are enjoying the hunt for animals.
We found a group of sleeping lions. They finally sat up as we were leaving.
The red color below is from the guide's spotlight. While it was OK for me to use the flash to take photos, all the guide's cover the spot light with a red gel when they spot lions to protect their eyes. |
