How postcards can boost your profits

Have you considered using postcards to:

  • Stay in touch regularly with your customers, and tell them about new products and services, or special offers?
  • Motivate prospects to visit your web site, retail location, or your booth at an upcoming show?
  • Get the attention of prospects, by sending out a series of postcards – maybe each with an intriguing question or statement?

Postcards can be a quick and inexpensive way to reach your audiences. What size should you use?

  • Postcards sized from 3 ½” x 5” up to 4 ¼” x 6” qualify for the “postcard” postage rate. But don’t let that stop you from using a larger size.
  • The highly popular 6 1/8” x 11 ½” size (the largest size that still qualifies for the “letter” postage rate) can be highly effective, because it stands out from all of those #10 envelopes in the mail.

When designing your postcard, be sure your designer knows where the FRONT of the postcard is! The front is actually the side that carries the address of the recipient. (That’s because the postal service delivers mail with the address side “face up.”) So the address side must engage the recipient – with a big, bold, intriguing headline.

Are you looking for some new ideas?
Postcards can be used to engage your target audience in a way that more straightforward campaigns can't. If done right, they can even start a buzz about your business, which is a great way to turn potential customers into buyers.
