Use an e-newletter to stay in touch with your clients
Do you have an easy way to stay in regular contact with your customers and prospects?
If you’re like me, you may have PLANNED to stay in touch regularly. But then you got busy – and that email newsletter fell to the bottom of your list.
You might consider one of the newer email systems that:
- automatically manage your mailing list
- schedule regular communications automatically
Most have pre-built templates, so you can just drop your content into a professional- looking format.
Almost all of them have some type of report stats, so you can see, for example, how many emails were delivered, opened, returned, canceled, etc. Some even have online survey options.
My favorite feature is the code you can put onto your own Web site to collect names. When someone subscribes to your e-newsletter, they are automatically added to your mailing list. Some systems do “double opt in” (requesting a confirmation by email, after the prospect has signed up on your web site) to make sure the email addresses are real. You never have to cut and paste an email into a mailing list again.
Almost all the systems allow some kind of personalization, as well as some branding opportunities. Be sure to get your logo, contact information and call to action (what you want the recipient to do, the next action you want them to take, etc.) on every piece of correspondence you send out.
If you can’t incorporate your branding into your email communications yourself – or you’re unhappy with the look of your current email newsletter -- your designer can customize your graphics to fit any format you’ll need.
