Prevent printing mistakes with this tip
Before spending all that money for a print piece only to discover that something about it doesn't work, why not ask your printer to make you a "dummy" or sample copy (sometimes your final copy can be laser or ink jet printed right onto the paper you plan to print on)? That way, you can make sure you like the piece before you have a thousand printed.
Things to look for: Does the weight of the paper match the piece? How about the texture? Color? Size? If there are multiple pieces, are they printed on the right paper? Do the ink colors work together? Do they work with paper? Do you like the way the piece feels when you pick it up?
Making a dummy can definitely save you time and money in the long run, especially if it saves you from printing a huge mistake.
